3 Events Happening in Greater Manchester This Weekend

The sun has disappeared since our last ‘things to do in Manchester’ post. But you shouldn’t let the rain stop you from enjoying your weekend. There are lots of fun events happening across Greater Manchester this weekend including competitions, festivals, and family days out. Take a look at the ones we’ve selected in the list below.

LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester – Cities of the Future Competition

Children are invited to Barton Square at the Trafford Centre this weekend to take part in an innovative project for children. Children can share their ideas about how they think we’ll live in 200 years. This means they can be as creative and imaginative as they want. The winner will receive a year (Manchester based) family pass. Read this LEGOLAND Discover Centre Manchester article by Visit Manchester for more information.

Head for the Hills in Ramsbottom

Taking place at Ramsbottom Cricket Ground, Head for the Hills is a festival which features over 50 artists and musicians. This event is “something beautifully different” in comparison to other festivals such as Glastonbury and V Festival. Tickets are available for Friday 14th – Sunday 17th September.

Mess Around’s Big Birthday Bash

Celebrate Mess Around’s (North Manchester) 6th birthday on Saturday 15th September! There are going to be lots of messy sensory activities involved for children 6 months – 5 years old and older siblings up to the age of 10 years old are welcome to join. Parents, guardians and carers, join in the fun and see your little ones explore as they play and learn.
